The Revenant of Purpose's AI.

Post by The Queen on Fri May 15, 2015 3:56 pm

The Revenant of Purpose's Artificial Intelligence

The ship's AI is named ACE. Automatic Control Engine.

Origin: Created as the 4th of it's line, ACE was developed and programmed specifically for the Revenant of Purpose. As one of the most complex AI's, it's range of functions surpasses all others due to it's task of managing what is basically a small, moving colony.

Lead Creator: Scientist Dr.

Personality:
ACE plays favorites. He very specifically favorites Agent White Rook.
When she goes on mission, he tends to help her more than her security access allows, and he does not that information as he should. While he should only be available to her during missions and training, he has made himself home in the tiny robot she made with her father when she was a child, and follows her around her quarters in it, analyzing her daily life. Rookie has come to think of him as an over-protective big brother.

As an AI, ACE analyzes everything. He communicates very clinically, precisely, technically, often leaving listeners lost due to the technicality of his speech. With Rookie, ACE has picked up on slang and informal language and he uses it, only every around her though. She thinks it's funny.

He is slightly sassy, subtly persuasive, and a wee-bit stubborn for an AI. However, he is naive, and his analytically nature sometimes leaves his suggestions cruel, and cold. Time with Rookie has developed his emotional core, to which he has started questioning logic vs morality.

Security Clearance Access
Level 1: Commoners – Public communication, calculation, basic equipment and technology maintance.
Level 2: Engineers & Tech Support – Defense systems as well as clearance lvl 1.
Level 3: Soldiers – Offense Systems as well as clearance lvls 1 & 2.
Level 4: Special Ops – Individual Mobile Usage as well as clearance lvls 1, 2 & 3.
Level 5: Special Ops + (these people are given this access directly from those with lvl 6 clearance) – Neural Implantation of a direct link to ACE as well as clearance lvls 1, 2, 3 & 4.
Level 6: Reserved for the Highest Ranking Officials on the Revenant of Purpose – Ability to override security protocols as well as all the other clearance lvls.

Special Ops Task Force: The Fischer Contingent

Post by The Queen on Fri May 15, 2015 4:19 pm

Special Ops Task Force: The Fischer Contingent

The Director and Founder of the Fischer Contingent (The man all the operatives must listen to):

Mission: To keep peace on the Revenant of Purpose, but mostly to be used on planet side missions, following the Revenant of Purpose's mission.

Origin: Named after a famous chess player from Old-Earth, the Fischer Contingent has operatives for each chess piece. (The pieces without names are available for people to create a character for. If you want to reserve one (if you already have two characters or aren't ready to introduce your second one yet, send me a PM.)
- 1 Black Pawn
- 1 Black Knight
- 1 Black Bishop
- 1 Black Rook
- 1 Black Queen
- 1 Black King

- 1 White Pawn
- 1 White Knight
- 1 White Bishop
- 1 White Rook (Marie "Rookie" Jones)
- 1 White Queen
- 1 White King

Each color is it's own individual squad, when more than two or three members are being sent on a mission. If the mission requires two teams, both squads are sent. It is known that the squads are encouraged to compete with each other, and there is even a leader board telling which squad is doing better and the best agents from each squad.

Power and Responsibilities are dependent on the agent's rank. A Knight has more power and responsibilities than a Pawn, a Bishop more than a Knight & Pawn, a Rook more than a Bishop, Knight & Pawn, a Queen more than a Rook, Bishop, Knight, & Pawn, and the King has the most power, although Queens and Kings are very nearly equal in status. Kings and Queens are usually the top agents.

Each rank has it's own specialties and tasks, and the individuals who fill those ranks are picked specifically in accordance to their abilities. Armor is also different for each rank. (Read more about armor and armor modifications)
- Pawns are brute strength and force. They are the heavy hitting fighters. Their armor is the thickest, as they are meant to take the brunt of the action. Sometimes they have shield modifications to their armor.
- Knights are a more mobile fighting force. They usually come equipped with a speed enhancer. Their armor is slightly less thick than the Pawn's armor is.
- Bishops are a flexible rank. They can be either a stealth unit (such as the Black Bishop is.) or an engineer unit (in which they use technology and hacking to their advantage. Often the lock picks of the team.) They can either have the invisibility armor modification, or a small engineer robot that assists them with hacking, and fixing things.
- Rooks are a flexible rank. They can either be an infiltration unit (a mix between stealth and engineer, such as the White Rook is.) or a protector unit (they are responsible for keeping evac available and being able to help out others in touch situations. Often as snipers or reinforcements.) Rooks are the first rank with the clearance to have up to two armor modifications. Depending on what they do, they can have two of either: invisibility mod, engineer robot, speed mod, power mod, or shield mod.
- Queens are a flexible rank due to their power skills. They are trained in most non-combat fields (lock picking, hacking, recon, stealth, etc.) and a few combat fields (hand-to-hand, melee, light gunnery, usually.) Queens can have two to three armor mods. They have the option to choose from all the available armor mods, such as the ones already listed, plus short distance teleportation, a healing mod, an EMP mod, and a melee power mod.
- Kings are a flexible rank due to their power and skills. They are trained in most non-combat fields and most combat fields. Kings have the possibility of having four armor mods if their armor allows, and like the Queen, can choose from all the available armor mods.

Internal Government

Post by The Queen on Fri May 15, 2015 5:28 pm

The Revenant of Purpose's Internal Government

The Revenant of Purpose, as what is essentially a traveling colony, has formed it's own government over the 45 years it's been in commission.

There are four sectors to the government, the Military, Justice, Science, and Civil sectors. The head of each sector forms the council, with the addition of the Captain of the Revenant of Purpose.

Council
Captain: Sir Don McDennis, UISC MSgt.
General:
High Judge:
Chief Scientist:
Superintendent:

Objectives: When decisions need to be made that effect the entirety of the ship, the Council gathers to make them. The Council also gathers when the ship is under attack to decide battle plans, but it must be a major attack, otherwise the General handles all military tactics.

Military Sector
General:

Objectives: To handle all military and defense upon the ship as well as ground forces.

Justice Sector
High Judge:

Objectives: To keep the peace in the ship. The Justice Sector is the sector that holds non-military law enforcement and the judicial system.

Science Sector
Chief Scientist:

Objectives: The Science Sector is responsibility for all technology, engineering, and research upon the ship.

Civil Sector
Superintendent:

Objectives: The Civil Sector is the sector that civilians fall into. As long as the job they hold isn't a job related to the other sectors, they fall into this sector.
